Happy Valley Hash chose to celebrate our 888th Run with a Pirate-themed fancy dress buffet down on the beach. Hashers were invited to dress as Pirates (Pieces of Eight, geddit?) and after a couple of dozen had walked the proverbial plank, the finalists in the fashion parade posed for the camera under their giant skull & crossbones flag. The winning lady was the one in the middle, who might be recognised by some in Epi?
Helen Johnson. who suggested the theme and organised the food. also won a similar prize which was courtesy of = where else? = The Buccaneer Tavern, Erimi.

The Hash has just returned from the Theotokis Foundation where a donation of €300 was made on behalf of Happy Valley Hash.
The money was raised from raffling Christmas Hampers over the Christmas period.
Hashers were all very generous, firstly by donating the items for the Hampers and then by buying tickets to win them
